TABLE OF CONTENTS
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you provide to us
In Short: We collect account details for staff, minimal identifiers for student players, and gameplay activity data.
School staff (Dashboard users). When a staff member creates or accepts an invitation to a Dashboard account, we collect their name, email address, and a password (stored only as a securely salted hash, never in plain text). We also record the staff member’s role and the school, sites, and groups they are assigned to.
Student players. Reset Moves is designed to collect as little as possible about students. Students do not create their own accounts and, in the school context, do not use passwords. For each student player we may hold: a display name (and optionally a full name) provided by school staff; an email address only where school staff choose to send an invitation by email; the class or group and the school the student belongs to; and an identifier for the device used to play.
Gameplay and activity data. When the App is used we collect gameplay activity — games played, session start and finish times, durations, scores, and similar metrics. We also collect a periodic ‘mood check’: a single mood value the student selects during play. This wellbeing information helps educators and caregivers understand engagement, and we treat it as sensitive information.
Device and technical data. Device model and identifier, operating system, app version, and a push-notification token used to deliver notifications.
Website visitors. When you visit resetmoves.com or submit an enquiry form, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, and organisation) and standard web-analytics data (see ‘Cookies and analytics’).
What we do not collect. We do not collect geolocation or GPS data, date of birth, gender, home addresses, student phone numbers, or payment card numbers.
THE CAMERA AND AI
In Short: The App uses the camera for on-device movement detection only; images and video never leave the device.
The App uses the device’s camera so that Reset Moves’ games can respond to a player’s body movement. We want to be clear about how this works:
The Dashboard Help area includes an ‘About the AI’ page with more detail.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We use your information to run the Services, support you, keep them secure, and meet our legal obligations.
We use personal information to:
We use a student’s gameplay and mood data only to provide the Services to that student’s school or caregiver. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
In Short: Within the Services we send only operational email; you can opt out of any other communications at any time.
Within the Services we send only the messages needed to operate them — for example account invitations, email verification, and an optional weekly activity digest that staff can switch on or off in the Dashboard.
Separately, if you give us your contact details through our website (for example by asking to be contacted), we may send you information about Reset Moves. You can opt out of those communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. We do not add students to any mailing list.
PAYMENTS
In Short: We never collect or store payment card details.
Reset Moves does not collect or store payment card details. Where Reset Moves is purchased as a consumer subscription, payment is processed by the Apple App Store under Apple’s own terms — we receive confirmation that a subscription is active but never receive card numbers. School licences are arranged directly with Reset Moves and invoiced; any billing details are handled outside the Services.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY AND USE IN SCHOOLS
In Short: Reset Moves is designed for children; schools manage consent, and we minimise what we collect about students.
Reset Moves is designed for use by children, including in schools, and we take that responsibility seriously.
WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run Reset Moves, or where required by law.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only as set out below.
Service providers (sub-processors). We use a small number of trusted providers to run the Services:
Each provider is bound by contract to protect the information and to use it only to provide its service to us. A current list is published as our Sub-Processor Register.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of users, the public, or Reset Moves.
Business transfer. If Reset Moves is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will require the recipient to honour this Policy.
Overseas disclosure. Our primary data storage is in Australia (Google’s Australian region). Some providers may process limited information (such as email addresses for email delivery) overseas. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
In Short: Our website uses cookies and analytics; the App and Dashboard do not use advertising or third-party tracking.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this notice, or as required by law.
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. In the school context, student and account information is retained while the school’s use of the Services continues, and is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed. You can request deletion at any time — see ‘What are your privacy rights?’.
HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We use organisational and technical measures to protect your information.
We use organisational and technical measures to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls and role-based permissions, multi-factor authentication for staff and administrator accounts, security testing, and a documented incident-response process. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to protect information and to respond promptly to any incident, including notifying affected people and the regulator where required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: You can access, correct, or delete your personal information, free of charge.
You can ask us to:
Staff can update their own profile, and request deletion of their account, directly in the Dashboard using ‘Delete my account’. For any other request — or for requests about a student’s information — email customercare@resetmoves.com. We handle these requests free of charge and aim to action them within 30 days. The Dashboard Help area includes an ‘Account deletion & your data’ page that explains the process.
We collect and process your personal information under Australia’s Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as needed, and show the date of the latest change.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The ‘Last updated’ date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify users — for example by a notice in the Dashboard or by email. We encourage you to review this Policy from time to time to stay informed of how we protect your information.
